This is actually just my preparations for part one of the making of dessert, set to follow tomorrow’s feast of pork ribs, carrots and turnips. . . An apple torte that requires I go to Williams Sonoma in Edina’s Galleria to purchase a tart pan with removable bottom because it seems no one else has them in stock. I wonder, how disgusted with humanity will I be by the time I get back to my car with the pan?
