40/365–Fungus Invasion

Our tomatoes have tomato anthracnose–a fungal infection that occurred when the fruit first formed.  It basically means that our infected plants are done for the year and have to be removed and destroyed. : (  It also means we’ll have to plant tomatoes in a different part of the garden next year, crop rotation being incredibly important in this case because the fungus can persist in the soil.
