1/365- Benita’s Poppies

Laura asked me to participate in the 365 day project she’s over half way through.  We’re not going to be on the same schedule now, but I’d like to see how long I can stick with it.

Day one is a photograph of the Benita Hill poppy seed heads from the oriental poppies growing in my father in law’s flower beds in Virginia, Minnesota.  Benita was their neighbor many years ago and gave them some seed.  They just grew for the first time this year.

We’re going to do some experiments with the seeds. Opti wants to know if the dryness of the seeds has any effect on how well they germinate.  We’ll see. . .
